Regatta Workbench was written by a regatta results manager for regatta results managers. It presents views into regatta information in the way that is intuitive for experienced and novice alike.

By adopting an open XML regatta result format, it aims to promote a rowing standard for regatta results and for exchanging regatta information through a regatta's whole lifecycle: from initial calendar listing, through the final posting and searching of results.
